Architectural Model Building 101- Week four

Step nineteen:
Divvy up the work. One will create the building, the other will do landscaping. Prepare highly organized workspace on specially designed surface (diningroom table.) Hunt for one of several X-acto knives that have gone missing. Decide to give up and get a new one, only to discover one sitting right in center of workspace..

Step nineteen-b:
Cut grooves into copper finished styrene panels. Compare to CAD drawing for accuracy.

Step twenty:
Glue to translucent styrene wall panels, leaving open areas to indicate windows. Realize base cut does not match the piece of the drawing you sliced out of the master plan. Freak out. Then realize you forgot there was a ledge there. Sigh with relief.
  Step twenty-b:
Continue to cut and place coppered window and wall panels along the West (or is it east? which way are you facing? Well that's Kentmere over there, so it must be...ummm...I dunno...oh forget it!!!) wing.

Step twenty-one:
Cut and place styrene stone-finish strips around base according to CAD drawings. Create stone walls around parking areas. (Hey, isn't that Steve Bruni's office there? Make note to place figures of museum employees with noses pressed to glass there when finished.)
  Step twenty-two:
Place teeny weeny cute little wee stairs into lower level. While marveling at their cuteness, realize that X-acto knife has gone missing again.

Step twenty-three:
Decide that it would be a good idea to cut holes for the lighting system before finishing the buildings. (DUH.) Search for half-inch drill bit and hacksaw. Call husband at work to ask where it might be. It's not there. Find high-tech alternative in basement.
  Step twenty-four:
After drilling perfectly finished holes, remove hacksaw blade from handle. Promptly break blade twice while attempting to saw between the two holes. Bandage fingers when finished.
